A militant attack against an army bus left one soldier dead on Saturday, an army source said.
Egyptian security officials say the suspected militants attacked the bus which was driving through the town of Al-Arish in the restive Sinai Peninsula, and killed the soldier driving it.
The bus was carrying wounded soldiers who were hurt during the Sunday ambush in the town of Sheikh Zuwayed on the road to Rafah on the border with Gaza. The wounded soldiers, following the attack, were taken to a hospital in critical condition, said the security source.
Security officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak to journalists.

Insurgent attacks in the Sinai have surged in the nine months since the military ousted Islamist President Mohammad Mursi.
The attacks have spread to Cairo and other cities in recent months.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack.
